This is a steak sauce, brush it on steak before grilling (or on hamburgers before grilling). It's NOT a dipping sauce. I got it from a newspaper column that used to be published years ago, The Butcher by Merle Ellis, who's topic was (not surprisingly) meat. It has a lot of ingredients but it's pretty simple to make because you basically dump them all together. I really like it on ribeyes (my favorite steak cut) or hamburgers.
Ingredients
1 20oz bottle Kikkoman soy sauce
1 10oz bottle Worcestershire sauce
1 10oz bottle A-1 sauce
1 10oz bottle Heinze 57 sauce
1 lb brown sugar
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/3 cup prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl (probably be best not to use plastic). Makes two quarts. Store in refrigerator.
