From a friend. She got the recipe from a video and made some upgrades to it. Since the original recipe was a video I don't necessarily have exact amounts or measurements, but it's pretty straightforward.
Ingredients
1 package Hawaiian Rolls (4 x 4)
mayonnaise
1 onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 lb cooked steak sliced very thin (rare roast beef from the deli warmed in a pan is good)
Sliced provolone cheese
Italian parsley
Basil
Garlic
Parmesan cheese
Butter
Instructions
1. Place the Hawaiian Rolls in a pan that fits. Remove tops of rolls and set aside. Brush bottoms with mayonnaise.
2. Make herb butter by combining parsley, basil, garlic, and parmesan cheese with butter. Sautee the onions and green peppers in some of the herb butter.
3. Cover the rolls with slices of provolone cheese. Spread steak over the cheese. Sprinkle with the sauteed onions and green peppers, and season with salt and pepper. Cover with additional slices of provolone cheese, and place the tops back on the rolls.
4. Melt the remaining herb butter and pour over rolls. Cover with foil and bake at 375 deg for twenty minutes. Remove foil and return to oven to brown the tops.
